“Spifftastic,”

This is Spifftastic, and I am Noel Cower. This is where I put most of my writing, with the exception of poetry, which goes on [nc]oetry. This site contains whatever I want to write about, because it wouldn’t be much fun if I stuck to a specific area, such as technology. The emphasis is to produce what I want to write and to present it in a manner that allows you to read it without clicking ‘next page’ links in the middle of an article, suffering through advertisements, or otherwise putting up with the many annoying aspects of modern websites.

I’m currently an English writing student at Boise State University, and in my spare time I develop software and create art for games. In addition to that, I’m often trying to learn new skills, because you can never have too many skills or learn too many things. You can read more about that and my motivations over in With Respect to Motivation, which covers some of the reasons why I do what I do. I cannot explain my use of footnotes, however — that might require its own article just so I can dissect it in depth. At any rate, I enjoy writing, and hopefully you’ll enjoy reading what I write.
